After looking for reasonable options to have some art framed, trying to find truly custom framing options, to wanting to display our children’s artwork in something better than a cheap mass-marketed frame that just didn’t exactly fit, to having higher end art framed with a classical museum look while staying within a budget, we had a crazy idea… Could we take our need for custom framing and turn that into a business venture that not only took care of our needs, but provided an alternative to the big box stores with their inflated pricing/deep discounting scheme, providing a straight forward price?
With the idea out there, we moved down a path to master the art of custom framing, conservation practices and techniques to frame our own art and realized it was possible to offer our services to the general consumer.
